You wake up one morning, stumble out of bed in search of your usual cuppa to start the day. You flick on the kettle; there is no electricity. You mutter under your breath, decide to take a shower and deal with the electricity later. A trickle of water is all that flows from the low-pressure rose in your shower recess. You’re annoyed now. You decide to head to a nearby café for coffee and a danish, and maybe local supermarket for milk, fresh bread. The café is also experiencing a power outage, the supermarket in darkness too, as well as having had no early morning deliveries to re-stock shelves. You scratch your head and wonder if you’re starring in a dystopian drama series.

Qld Gov State Infrastructure Plan Program Update

QLD State InfrastructureThe Queensland Government State Infrastructure Plan (SIP) Part B was released on 23rd July 2019.  The strategy outlines the Queensland Government’s strategic direction for planning and prioritising the investment and delivery of infrastructure that supports growth enables economic development and creates jobs.  Part B outlines a 4 year $49.5billion infrastructure program with a corresponding $12.9billion spend in the 2019-20 year.

Meeting of the NSW Government Village

NSW Govt Village

The Asset Management Council was proud to play a major part in yesterday’s meeting of the NSW government village along with Infrastructure NSW. The purpose was to formally launch the new NSW Government endorsed Asset Management Policy. It was also an opportunity to receive an update from the CEO of Infrastructure NSW on the key asset management policy reforms underway in line with the State Infrastructure Strategy 2018-2038.
