Perth and the Three C’s (Certification and Corrosion at Curtin)

IMG 0616It was a full house for Perth last Thursday as the Chapter collaborated with Curtin University for an informative technical event. First up was Andrei Ezergailis, ASC Pty Ltd’s CCSM LifCycle Manager, to go over ASC’s journey to ISO55001’s certification and the lessons learned from it. Next was Curtin’s very own senior research fellow from their Faculty of Science and Engineering, Katerina Lepkova, to address the latest developments in corrosion protection measures.

Implementing an AM System in a Mature Workplace Culture

ImplementationWhile the requirements of ISO55001:2014 Asset Management are the same for every organisation, the approaches used to implement an effective asset management system are not.

All organisations have unique characteristics dependant on, for example, size, industry, activity and leadership. The maturity of the organisation is one such characteristic.

Brisbane shines a light on the power sector

image3Wednesday, 16th May, saw the Brisbane chapter host their latest technical session. The theme of the event was asset management within the power sector. The speakers were Ravi Malik from Origin Energy, Brian McMahon from Energy Queensland and Michael Pelevin from Powerlink.
