Recently, the Joint Accreditation System of Australia and New Zealand (JAS-ANZ) finalised their Asset Management Systems Scheme (AMS Scheme) in order to provide requirements for bodies providing audit and certification of Asset Management Systems to ISO 55001 specifications (known as Conformity Assessment Bodies or Certification Bodies (CAB’s)). The AMS Scheme was developed in cooperation with the Asset Management Council, and is being made available to Members so that those who are thinking of applying for Certification to ISO55001 clearly understand the obligations of both CAB’s and themselves during the certification process.

The Certified Asset Management Assessor (CAMA) exam allows professionals in asset management to benchmark and certify their asset management knowledge and skills. CAMA certification is internationally recognised and was created to ensure a standard in asset management practices. The Asset Management Council’s Conquering the CAMA webinar recording gives attendees all the preparation they need in order to feel confident and equipped enough to pass the CAMA exam and can be purchased in our online store here.

AMPEAK Asset Management Conference 2015 took place in Sydney from 24-28 May. The conference welcomed over 250 attendees, was supported by 9 sponsors and featured 22 exhibitors. There was an international presence this year with delegates and presenters from countries including Canada, Malaysia, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and the United States.

Recently, a leading water utility in the Philippines engaged one of the Asset Management Council’s Corporate Members (GHD) to develop and implement its first asset management information system (AMIS) strategy as part of its long term improvement and journey towards asset management maturity. The water utility services more than 6 million customers with water and wastewater services, and has actively taken part in global asset management benchmarking exercises, below is a summary on how our Corporate Member, GHD, helped the Phillippines ulitlity with its AMIS strategy.
