Recently, the Asset Management Council’s Brisbane Chapter held a technical session with over 90 engineering and asset management professionals in attendance. Leading the event was the Brisbane chapter chair, Gopinath Chattopadhyay. Speakers who present from the Queensland Government and the Queensland Audit Office include Neil Scales, David Adams, Sandra Heidrich, and Patrick Fleming.
Ergon Energy operates as an electricity generator, distributor and retailer, servicing around 680,000 customers across a vast operating area of over one million square kilometres. They were an early adopter of Geomatic Technologies (GT) Field Mobile Computing (GT FMC) solution, and in doing so were able to reduce their reliance on manual record keeping for maintenance activities associated with power pole assets, improve their resource allocation, and better meet regulatory compliance.
