Brisbane Panel Session

Asset Management Improvement Plan (AMIP), Improved Sustaining Capex Portfolio (SCP) and Industry panel for ISO55000 organised by Asset Management Council (AM Council) Brisbane Chapter was a huge success, say Dr. Gopi Chattopadhyay, Chair of Brisbane Chapter. This event was organised by a vibrant Brisbane Chapter committee on 14th May 2014, Hawken Auditorium, Engineers Australia. The evening was chaired and MC’d by Gopi Chattopadhyay.

Larissa James, Asset Performance Improvement Manager, Aurizon, discussed Asset Management Improvement Programs. Following this, Peter Barnwell, General Manager – Asset Management & Reliability, Rio Tinto Alcan covered Improved Sustaining Capex Portfolio Management.

Following these speakers was a panel session consisting of key stakeholders of asset owners in Queensland, and professional bodies and organisations providing certification. Each panel member talked about what they consider appropriate for awareness, commitment and change management related to asset management. They shared their thoughts on implementation of ISO55000 and their perspectives. Questions and/or comments from floor were then taken by panel members.

  • Tony Pfeiffer, Executive General Manager, Asset Management, Ergon Energy.
  • Deryk Anderson, Director, Board Member AM Council.
