The Melbourne Chapter has had a great start to the year with over 30 keen AMCouncil members and associates who got together late February to discuss challenges in transforming culture and behaviour in asset centric organisations. A discussion was had led by Greg Williams, Executive, Executive Director Asset Performance, Yarra Trams, and Julian Watts, Director Engineering & Asset Management, KPMG.
Canberra chapter held a combined presentation and AGM on the evening of 21st February, with a total attendance of 16 members. Many thanks to Engineers Australia staff, who, as usual prepared the venue by separating a reception/catering area, and arranging seating and presentation aids in the auditorium.
Thank you to Water Corporation who hosted our Perth Chapter event last Thursday. Pictured on the left are David Seaton, Tino Galati, Jakob Verhoef, Karen Riddette and Ashley Vincent. It was an excellent event with fantastic speakers, great engagement, tension was high. Carmel Moynihan who won the AOG 2018 Asset Management Competition came to receive her prize. A successful AGM was held by our AMCouncil Sydney chapter last Thursday. On behalf of the continuing committee members we welcome Stephen Poropat to the AMC Sydney Chapter 2019 committee! It will be great to have a new face (?) on the team as we continue our strong growth in the chapter.
Members from the Sydney Chapter met for an informal gathering to celebrate the year and network with colleagues last night. The venue was the historic Summer Hill Hotel located in Sydney’s inner west. Attendees enjoyed a drink and mingle on the outdoor balcony before moving inside for dinner. Everyone was in high spirits and looking forward to a break over the Christmas period prior to embarking on our 2019 program! Photos below.
What a great turnout at Perth’s latest chapter event with AMCouncil members from all over the country coming together to hear from Ian Sedgwick as he shared his knowledge and approach to Asset Management, focusing on the importance of balancing key elements within Asset Management. The second part of an evening proved more of a celebration of 2018. Congratulations to Tristan Velnoweth, who won the quiz and brought home the title ‘WA Asset Management Guru of the Year’.
