Guidance on the Alignment of Functions

A well-known problem with technical maintenance and service delivery stems from the conflict that can arise through so-called “silo effects” 1 (Hotaran, 2009), i.e., when people in various functions who are expected to work together do not meet this expectation. While silo behaviours could be present in various functions of an organisation, this article focuses on the impact on asset management.

AMCouncil at AMSI

AMCouncil was delighted to be invited to participated in the Asset Management Society, India (AMSI) international hybrid event on 16th September considering the topic “Smart Asset Management Next Gen Framework for Resource Efficient Systems”.

A special address was provided by AM Council Gippsland Chapter Chair, Dr Gopinath Chattopadhyay whilst Dr Anne Gibbs, CEO AMCouncil, provided an overview of AM Council Activities and collaborations with AMSI. Dave Daines, Immediate Past National Chair AM Council, provided a comprehensive presentation on ISO55000 Standards and use in Global to Local Asset Management.

Check out the Digital Twin Victoria – Now live!

The Digital Twin Victoria (DTV) platform is now live.  Access the platform DTV Platform (land.vic.gov.au)

This is the beginning of a digital twin ecosystem that assists in smarter planning for Victoria giving access to more than 4,000 datasets in one place enabling end-to-end digital process and operating digital-by-default.  The shared data includes flooding data, building models, planning information, vegetation cover, live energy production, metro trains and much more.  This is only the first stage Land Use Victoria and is looking to evolve the platform.
