ISO55002 has been significantly expanded and now includes:
• Detailed guidance for every clause of the 55001 requirements document, including clarification of the contribution of each requirement to the four ’fundamentals’ of asset management: value, alignment, leadership and assurance;
The recent Brisbane Chapter event held at the Jacobs offices was well supported and the audience were given an insight from Lucien Whitten from Defence Industries Qld into how the policies for aerospace are developed with a particular emphasis on the impact of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. This was supported by Andrew Scott who provided an insight into the operations of UAVs, the size and also complexity of the support operations with the most crucial part of UAVs being the people behind them. There was also an interesting discussion on the current and potential future uses of these assets and how the industry might develop over the next 5-10 years.
A fantastic technical seminar was enjoyed yesterday by asset management professionals from across Tasmania. A big thanks to Jason Carter, Terry Gleeson and Adrian Tanner for their engaging and informative presentations. Look out for more great events like this in 2019!

The Awards recognise organisations who are making a start and are on the journey of continuous asset management improvement. The Awards also recognises individual achievement in asset management leadership and student innovation in the field of asset management.
The Greater Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust (GMCT) is looking for an Asset Manager (Engineering) to provide leadership, strategic management and oversight of GMCT assets. More information about the role can be found here.
