The Adelaide chapter recently got together to hear from Johan Aaserud, Asset Manager (Life Cycle Engineer) of the Collins Class Program, ASC where the audience was taken on a detailed voyage of his journey across the seas of Asset Management among the waves and peaks of practise, training and certification. Second up, was Neda Gorijan Jolfaie, a PhD Candidate at the University of Adelaide to speak on his project around an optimal asset life cycle decision support model.

AMCouncil AMBoK Team Member, Martin Kerr, represented the Asset Management Council at the ISO TC251 (ISO5500x) committee meeting in Amersfoort, The Netherlands 22nd to 26th October 2018.
TC251 is a technical committee (TC) that looks after the ISO55xxx suite of documents. The committee is made up of several working groups, one of which is looking at Public Policy for Asset Management (ISO55011) under the auspice of Working Group 7, WG7.

TC251 is a technical committee (TC) that looks after the ISO55xxx suite of documents. The committee is made up of several working groups, one of which is looking at review of ISO55002 and Annex SL under the auspice of Working Group 6, WG6.

The Brisbane Chapter held a planning session on the 25th October to identify the topics for the technical sessions that will be held in 2019. This session was a lively interactive session with 15 participants. They took a fresh look at the technical sessions, with a view as to what was wanted from the sessions, what specific subjects rewash were of interest and what site visits might appeal to the members.
