Appointment of Two New Board Directors

The Asset Management Council is pleased to announce the appointment of two new members to its Board of Directors, effective Thursday 7 June 2012 following the member ballot.

The two new Board Directors are Dave Daines, Head of Asset Management, BHP Billiton Iron Ore and Glenn Ingram, Head of Asset Management, Newcrest Mining Ltd.

How would you capture asset management in a photograph?
Rummage through your archives or take a photograph that captures asset management!
‘The photo is of the site manager at Alinta Wind Farm near Geraldton Western Australia. In order to have a good asset management culture at a remote wind farm, the site manager is the most important person. He needs to be on board with the processes, data requirements and drive this through to the maintenance contractors’, Murray Wall, Infigen Energy.
The winners of the competitions will be announced at the Farewell Drinks at this year’s conference!

Asset Management Council Gippsland Chapter Event

After an extensive career at both a technical and senior management level in the Power Generation industry, Graeme Offer made a switch to Local Government, where he was involved in the rapidly emerging Asset Management field at a high-growth Queensland regional city.

Graeme will share some observations on the different approaches to Asset Management in the two industries, and will share some of his experiences in implementing Asset Management in a local government environment.
