Brisbane Chapter News: Summary of first technical session for 2011

We had our first technical session on 12 April 2011 with at least 20 members and guests in attendance. Our speaker was Joe Mathew from CIEAM. Joe spoke about new paradigms in infrastructure asset management and provided an overview of the research program being undertaken by CIEAM. A key theme of his presentation was that we should use information to make informed decisions about asset management.

Our next technical session will be held on 31 May 2011 with Gary West speaking about Rio Tinto’s journey into the reliability domain.

Perth Chapter News – Reliability Engineering Seminar

 This seminar will investigate the key competencies of a reliability engineer and seek attendees input into the core skills that make them effective. There will be presentations showcasing the benefits of reliability engineering. Following the presentations will be an AGM for the WA Chapter of the AMC. The seminar will finish with drinks, finger food and an opportunity to network.
