The Gippsland Chapter invite you to their next Technical Session:
Steam Turbines- Performance and Condition Monitoring, by Ray Beebe FIEAust CPEng (Ret)
About the Presentation
Ray was fascinated by steam turbines during his 28 years in power generation with a particular interest in applying condition monitoring to diagnose problems and inform maintenance decision making. He has worked on machines from 24MW to 500MW in Australia and in the UK. His following 21 years as an academic at Monash University gave encouragement to reflect on and share his experiences in machine diagnostics.
Several papers and workshop activities were extended with further research for his MEngSc, and later again into his third book “Steam turbines performance and condition monitoring”, published in 2012 by reliabilityweb.com
During this session he will describe some case studies and invites you to join in to diagnose the causes. Whether involved in thermal power generation or not, it should be an interesting meeting with its usual excellent dinner, drinks and networking.
