Presenter Mick Bray of Defence Material Organisation, Land Engineering Agency, will deliver a presentation outlining the work done with the VHUMS concept and the next steps to be taken with this asset management improvement program.

About the Presentation

Defence is undertaking major reforms to deliver savings in materiel sustainment. The integration of Vehicle Health and Usage Monitoring Systems (VHUMS) is an area that promises wide ranging benefits including increased availability and efficiencies in fleet management.

The Land Engineering Agency has investigated VHUMS on land platforms to assess whether it can deliver improvements in the management of land materiel.
Trials of VHUMS have been performed and demonstrated its capability to deliver enhancements in fleet management through condition based maintenance, automated data entry, enhanced operational statistics, and increased understanding of the platform’s mission profile.

Investigations of the technology are continuing, including the development of a cost benefit analysis and a high level costed integration schedule.

Mick Bray will deliver a presentation outlining the work done with the VHUMS concept and the next steps to be taken with this asset management improvement program.
