Broadspectrum commits to do more for Indigenous reconciliation
The Asset Management Council is proud to have Broadspectrum as a partnering organisation and we are delighted to hear that they have teamed up with Reconciliation Australia to recently launch their fourth Reconciliation Action Plan. As Andrea Kelly, Reconciliation Australia’s Deputy Chief Exective Officer, is quoted in the related press release: “Broadspectrum has been helping to blaze the trail for reconciliation for almost ten years. Its fourth Reconciliation Action Plan has achieved Elevate status for the third time, recognising the company’s positive and far-reaching economic and behavioural transformations it has made.” You can read more by downloading the official media statement here.
The first presentation from Perth’s latest rail themed technical event was well received with the unanimous opinion that the presenter, Kyle Saltmarsh, delivered a technical presentation on ‘Acoustic Condition Monitoring’ in a manner that was engaging, entertaining and easy to understand. 
The Melbourne chapter held a session at Engineers Australia’s city facilities, focused on the evolution of asset management in defence. John West, Asset Management Principal at BAE Systems, talked about linkages between defence capability and asset management, drawing on examples from the maritime defence sector. The enthusiastic audience included AMC members from government, defence and consulting.

AMCouncil Sydney Chapter was this year invited to assist with the hosting some Field visits (Off-site tours) in conjunction with Engineers Australia’s College of Leadership and Management (CLM) at the Australian Engineering Conference held in Sydney in September.
